Tahmina Begum boasts an impressive 32-year career in the public sector. With educational achievements including a BSS (Honours) and an MSS in Sociology from Dhaka University, she entered the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1988. From Assistant Commissioner to the highest Grade 1 officer, Tahmina's journey is marked by her expertise in Public Financial Management (PFM). Notably, her roles in the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, showcased her proficiency in public expenditure management, internal control, and auditing. As the Director General of the Institute of Public Finance Bangladesh (IPF) since 2020, she has fostered partnerships, led training programs, and spearheaded knowledge dissemination, solidifying her candidacy for the IPF's Director General position.
