Dr. Md. Fardous Alom works as Joint Secretary in the Finance Division. He achieved BSS (Hons.) and MSS in Economics with first classes from the University of Dhaka. He earned a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Lincoln University, New Zealand and an MBA degree in International Business from Ajou University, Republic of Korea. He published books include volatility and spillover effects of oil and food price shocks--application of time series econometrics, and Effects of oil price, foreign exchange reserve and trade balances on exchange rate: evidence from Bangladesh and South Korea.
