Asif Iqbal is a member of the 29th BCS (Administration) currently serving as a Senior Assistant Secretary. Throughout his career, Asif has held various positions at the field level, including Assistant Commissioner, AC (Land), and UNO.
Asif completed his BSS (Honors) and MSS in Economics from the Department of Economics at the University of Dhaka. He obtained another master’s, an MSc in Economics from Queen Mary University of London, UK. Asif is currently pursuing his PhD in Economics from the University of Liverpool, UK, and he is currently at the stage of awaiting his thesis defense. His research focus lies in the areas of Monetary Economics and Macroeconomic Modelling.
